ETHGlobal Tokyo 2026 is an event bringing together some of the top minds and experts in Ethereum Ecosystem to Tokyo. We enable teams to make something great in only 36 hours by providing an abundance of web3 resources like mentors, partners, and software. Sleeping is optional, but trying something new is not! The event is 100% free for attendees (including food). However, we do require hackers to 'stake' a small amount of cryptocurrency to confirm their spot so that we can ensure that we're able to process our waitlist of attendees accordingly. This stake is fully returned to you as long as you participate in the hackathon and submit a project - or even a partial project - at the close of the event. The use of AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, etc.) is generally permitted, but with the following guidelines to ensure transparency and integrity: Attribution: Clearly document in your submission where and how AI tools were used in the project. This includes specifying which parts of the code, specific files, or assets were generated or assisted by AI. Involvement: AI tools should be used to assist your development process, not to create the entire project. Submissions that rely entirely on AI without meaningful contributions from team members may not be eligible for partner prizes or finalist consideration.
