1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using hackathons.space ("the Platform," "we," "our," or "us"), you ("User," "you") agree to be legally bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must immediately cease use of the Platform. Your continued use of the Platform constitutes your ongoing acceptance of these Terms as may be amended from time to time.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and hackathons.space, owned and operated by Harish Kotra.

2. Description of Service

hackathons.space is an online hackathon discovery and listing platform that allows users to:

• Browse and discover upcoming and past hackathon events from around the world
• Search and filter hackathons by title, location, status, and other criteria
• Submit hackathon listings for inclusion on the Platform
• Stay updated on events via third-party channels such as the official Telegram channel
• View hackathon details including prizes, dates, locations, and organizer information

The Platform serves as an informational directory only and does not directly organize, host, manage, or guarantee the quality, accuracy, or outcome of any listed hackathon event.

3. Eligibility

• You are at least 13 years of age. If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent to use this Platform.
• You have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms
• You are not prohibited by applicable law from using the Platform
• All information you provide to the Platform (e.g., hackathon submissions) is truthful, accurate, and current

4. Hackathon Listings

4.1 Informational Nature
All hackathon listings displayed on hackathons.space are aggregated from publicly available sources or submitted by third-party organizers. We do not verify, endorse, or guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or legitimacy of any listing.

4.2 Submission of Hackathons
Users may submit hackathon events for listing via the Submit feature. By submitting a hackathon, you:

• Confirm you are the authorized organizer or representative of the hackathon, or have obtained permission to submit it
• Grant hackathons.space a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, reproduce, and distribute the submitted content on the Platform and associated promotional channels
• Agree that submitted content does not infringe on any third-party intellectual property, privacy rights, or applicable laws
• Accept that hackathons.space reserves the right to accept, reject, edit, or remove any submitted listing at its sole discretion without prior notice

4.3 Accuracy of Listings
While we strive to maintain accurate and up-to-date information, hackathons.space makes no warranties regarding:

• Prize amounts or availability
• Event dates, deadlines, or formats
• Organizer legitimacy or the conduct of any listed hackathon
• Continued availability of any linked event

Users are strongly encouraged to verify details directly with hackathon organizers before registering or participating.

5. User Conduct

• Submit false, misleading, fraudulent, or spam hackathon listings
• Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the Platform without explicit written permission
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Platform or its infrastructure
• Violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law or regulation
• Harass, abuse, or harm any person or entity
• Upload or transmit malware, viruses, or any harmful code
• Impersonate any person, organization, or entity
• Use the Platform for any commercial purpose not authorized by hackathons.space

We reserve the right to investigate and take appropriate legal action for any illegal or unauthorized use of the Platform.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on hackathons.space, including but not limited to the website design, logo, layout, code, text, graphics, and user interface ("Platform Content"), is the intellectual property of hackathons.space and is protected under applicable copyright and trademark laws.

By submitting hackathon content, you retain ownership of your original content. However, you grant us a license as described in Section 4.2.

6.3 Restrictions

Your interactions with third-party services (including hackathon organizers, prize providers, or sponsor platforms) are governed by those parties' own terms and policies.

8. Telegram and External Channels

hackathons.space operates a Telegram channel for event updates. Joining the Telegram channel is voluntary and is governed by Telegram's own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for any content, actions, or conduct that takes place on Telegram or other external platforms.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. To the fullest extent permissible under applicable law, hackathons.space disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to:

• Implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement
• Warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, or availability of the Platform
• Warranties that the Platform will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of viruses

10. Limitation of Liability

• Direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages

• Damages arising from participation in any listed hackathon, including but not limited to prize disputes, organizer misconduct, or event cancellations

Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the Platform is to stop using it.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless hackathons.space and its owner, contributors, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to:

• Your use of or access to the Platform
• Any content you submit to the Platform
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any applicable law or third-party rights

12. Modifications to the Platform and Terms

• Modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature or the Platform entirely at any time, with or without notice
• Update these Terms at any time. Changes take effect upon posting to the Platform. Your continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, specifically the Information Technology Act, 2000 and other applicable Indian laws. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Hyderabad, Telangana, India.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

15. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and hackathons.space with respect to your use of the Platform.
