The frontier of applied AI research right now is about making the agents efficient at using day to day tools at white collar jobs. Imagine a world where agents can use all the tools you use at work, and you just need to direct them on what to do. And what is proving to help agents learn it well is RL environments. A large number of real world tasks, environments, and evaluation graders to check how well (or poorly) an agent performed at a task. Give an agent lot of compute and lot of RL environments, and it can do most of the work autonomously after a few RL runs. India is emerging as the best place to do RL in the world. And this hackathon aims to not only find the best but also create an space for RL enthusiasts in the country. We would be hosting best RL practitioners in the country in our cherry blossom painted campus of Scaler School of Technology, as the final round, and hope to see massive contribution to open source RL community.
